One of the most difficult aspects of building muscle can be choosing which weight training program to use.  There is such a wide variety of programs available, it can be overwhelming when trying to find one that’s suited for you and your fitness goals.  However, through proper research and following these few tips, you’re chances for success will be much higher and you’ll end up more satisfied with your decision in the end. When choosing a weight training program, you should try to address the following questions:

  • What are my ultimate goals?
  • Does the program offer variety in exercises and routines?
  • Does the program offer the results and align with my goals?
  • Is the program safe for my physical condition and ability?
  • Does the program have reputable user feedback or testimonials?

All of these questions are important and should be considered before making your decision.  There are a ton of fly-by-night fitness programs out there (as evident in a lot of people’s closets/basements/under their bed), so it’s important to choose a weight training program with sustainability and an entertainment value for years to come.

One of the biggest reasons people quit an a weigh training program is they get bored of the same old routine.  Variety is important to peak interest, so you should never be doing the same routine for more than 8-12 weeks.  Even if you’re forced to come up with exercises on your own, throw something different in the mix to keep it interesting.

Another important factor is user feedback.  I don’t know about you, but before I purchase anything, I do a lot of research to find the good (and bad) qualities of a particular product.  There’s no one better suited to give this research material than those who have purchased and used the product.  They can easily provide feedback on the high points and low points of the product as well as results achieved.  One thing to note however, no matter how perfect the product, there will always be critics.  It could be the next best thing since sliced bread, yet there’s someone one out there who will have to piss on the parade.  Just keep this in mind while researching and don’t let one bad review throw you off course.

No Nonsense 6 PackHopefully I’ve provided some useful information if you’re in the market for a weight training program.  There are a ton of not-so-great products out there, so please be cautious.  However, there are also a lot of great products out there which can and will help you achieve you fitness results.  If you’d like to check out a program I recommend to all my clients that is frequently being updated and improved, please here to check it out.

As always, keep pumping…
