Hardest Muscle to Workout
After your initial entry into muscle strength training, you’re going to start to see trends in your workout routine. These trends will occur naturally, some being good, some being bad. The sooner you’re able to recognize these training trends, the sooner you’ll be able to modify your workout routine to get the most out of it. Want to learn more? Keep reading for my take on the hardest muscle to workout.
Rarely do people have the ability to work out their muscles with the same intensity. For some people, they have an easier time working out their backs than their chests. People naturally will be stronger in certain areas than others, just like people are naturally left-handed or right-handed. I’m sure it has a lot to do with genetics, but you have to throw in a little bit of everyday activity to the mix. For instance, if you’re a landscaper who is pulling weeds and raking leaves all day, you will naturally have a stronger back since these are the muscles that you are most frequently naturally exercising.
My personal experience has been that out of opposing muscle groups, one group will be stronger and easier to workout, while the other muscle group will be weaker and cause you to struggle a little bit more. For me, my back is much stronger than my chest, as well as my biceps being much stronger than my triceps. I’ve always had a hard time training my chest and triceps, and really have to focus on not “squirming” when I’m cranking out those intense reps in my muscle workout. However, now that I’ve addressed this imbalance, I can effectively concentrate to ensure I’m performing my strength training exercises correctly.
While some may consider the hardest muscle to workout a negative thing, I think that through discovering this for yourself, you can very easily turn it into a positive and really adapt your muscle workouts to your specific body and it’s strengths and weaknesses. Everyone is different, so don’t feel bad if you’re hardest muscle to workout is different from your training partner or anyone else. Just accept it for what it is, and do your best to adapt and keep pumping iron!
