One question people often have is “what’s the best way of building huge muscle mass?”  Well, there are many things that go into building huge muscle mass, varying all the way from nutrition, to exercises performed, to frequency of workouts.  However, I feel that there is one very important factor to getting huge results from your muscle workout routine.

Weight! That’s the number one secret to building huge muscle.  Without pushing the big weight, it’s next to impossible to get huge.

Now a days with all the fancy gym equipment, gimmicks being sold on infomercials, and different types of exercise training, it can really make your head spin when trying to figure out which is the right choice for you.  While some of these new exercise techniques can be fun, my recommendation is to always get back to the basics.  Rarely at the gym do you see a huge guy lifting little dinky weights, and rarely do you see a little skinny guy lifting big weight.  Is this telling you something?

Don’t get carried away yet, that big guy you see lifting the serious weight didn’t get that way overnight.  I’m not expecting you to go into the gym tomorrow and start pumping 500lb squats.  The important point here is that you need to strive to increase the weights you’re lifting at a steady pace – try not to get locked into a routine of lifting the same amount of weight for too long.  If you’re working out with the same weight, it may be easier for you, but your only cheating yourself.  You need to constantly increase that weight to challenge and shock your muscles into growing bigger and stronger.

It’s important to remember to never get ahead of yourself.  Before you begin increasing the weights, make sure your form is correct.  I’ve seen too many people get injured because they try to pump big weights incorrectly.  The heavier the weights, the easier it is to injure yourself caused by bad form.  I recommend trying to work out in front of a mirror so you can see exactly how your body is moving, this help tremendously in developing proper form.
